The maximum elevation gain during ABC trek is 4,130 meters (13,550 ft).

Yes, the ABC trek is for beginners. If you wish to do your first trek, Annapurna Base Camp is suitable. The altitude on this hike is lower, thus there is a lower risk of AMS. Also, during this trek, you will witness a wide range of Himalayan topography, beginning in the subtropical zone and ending in the arctic zone, so you will be exposed to all types of Himalayan zones before attempting other very high altitude treks in Nepal.
The cost of Annapurna base camp varies depending on the sort of service required. It can start at $200 for a non-Nepali/Indian citizen and INR 14,000 for an Indian/Nepali citizen. Again, the fee varies depending on the sort of service required for Annapurna base camp.
Yes, you can sleep at the Annapurna base camp. Almost all trekkers who visit Annapurna base camp spend the night there. There are various tea houses (mountain lodges) located at the base camp where trekkers can spend the night.
The ideal months to visit Annapurna Base Camp are April, May, October, November, and December. During these months, the weather is clear, and visibility throughout the mountains is excellent. You can also go in March and September, but there will be a lot of snow on the ground in March, which will be cleared by the end of the month, and September is the rainy season, so the views will be less spectacular, and there is a high risk of land sliding in low-altitude areas.
Yes, it is safe to trek to Annapurna Base Camp. ABC trek is a low altitude trek compared to other treks in Nepal, hence there is a little risk of altitude sickness. In addition, during the trek, you will be connected to the network, allowing you to seek assistance if necessary. The path to Annapurna Base Camp is well-designed, broad, and paved, so there is little possibility of slipping.
Yes, you can do the Annapurna Base Camp Trek alone, but you have to hire a qualified trekking guide and the necessary permits. Solo trekking is prohibited in Nepal from April 2023.
Deurali village is close to Annapurna base camp. It is a large community with a population of over 2800 people, and it has numerous mountain lodges for trekkers traveling to Annapurna Base Camp. It takes 7 hours to get to Annapurna base camp from Deurali village.
Annapurna circuit is better to base camp. Because it offers a full view of the Annapurna range and many other massive mountains. You’ll also pass through high mountain passes, witness high altitude lakes, and view a few additional 8000-meter mountains taller than Mount Annapurna. However, the circuit takes longer than Annapurna Base Camp; if you have less time, ABC is ideal for you.
Yes, WIFI is available at Annapurna Base Camp. However, while WIFI is available inside the tea houses at the Annapurna base camp, it is unlikely that it will work outside of the tea house. Also, if the weather is bad, the Wi-Fi frequently doesn’t work at Annapurna Base Camp.

However, if you are trekking from November onwards, you must wear thermal inner wears after Chhomrong because the temperature typically drops below zero.

There are literally thousands of stone stairs on the Annapurna base camp trek route. The majority of the stairs are in low-altitude locations and at the beginning of the journey. However, if a child is accompanying his or her parents, it is best to employ an individual porter to carry the child, especially if the child is under the age of nine, because ascending 1000s of steps is quite tough for children. If someone is very elderly and not physically fit for the trek, he should modify the trek to make it longer in duration and walk as much as possible for him/her. Because tea houses are accessible at regular intervals, an elderly person can easily complete the ABC trek.
Yes, Annapurna base camp is tough not because of the altitude, but because of the thousands of steps to climb. The altitude of the ABC is not high, but to get there, you must climb literally thousands of stone stairs in the lower altitude places. Some days need 3 to 4 hours of stair climbing, which adds to the difficulty of the walk.
The Annapurna base camp trek is not a high altitude or long trek; basic fitness is sufficient for this trek. Walk 10,000 steps six days a week, practice ascending stairs, and take a 15-minute breathing exercise each day. Practice for at least three months before attempting the ABC trek. If you are physically active, you can do it directly.

Nepal Telecom (NTC) SIM is the best option for Annapurna base camp because it has high network coverage in that area. The NTC is also known as Namaste. Aside from NTC, you might try Ncell. Ncell usually has a very good network in cities and large towns, and it is relatively simple to obtain. There are additional service providers accessible, such as STPL, CG Communications, Worldlink Communications, and Vianet Communication, although their network scope is limited. If you want a SIM that works better, the first option is NTC, and the second is NCell. Anyway, the mobile network is only available in villages; however, when you are at high altitude, particularly above 3000 meters, the network is really bad.
No, you cannot see Everest from Annapurna Base Camp. However, you can see numerous gigantic mountains from Annapurna base camp, including Annapurna I (the tenth largest in the world), Annapurna III, Annapurna South, Varaha Shikhar, Khangsar Kang, Singu Chuli, Gandharva Chuli, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhare, Rakshi Peak, Tent Peak, Tarke Khang, and Gangapurna.

WeRamblers did a great job with the logistics involved throughout the trek. The guide Tenzing and his team took good care of the trek team from the start till end of the trek. Hats off to the porters who were moving the trek equipments throughout. Once again thanks to WeRamblers and Mr. Nitesh for making this trek a successful one! Looking forward to more such great treks in the Himalayas. Biswarup Mohanty2024-06-02Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 2024, May 25 when I touched the EBC landmark stone, it was still unbelievable. Even though you planned for it a lot, still there are a few feelings that come. It's a tad bit emotional, a tad bit relief. I was just thinking each day I have to go to the next camp, probably this is [the last time]. In the lead up to that, because I was kind of preparing myself like 'oh maybe this is the last day', 'oh this is the last time I am going to trek', 'oh this is the last time I am reaching this camp.' So these sort of moments just kept playing in my mind a lot. In a way I was mentally prepared for whenever it had to happen. But I was so much more prepared for 25th May [last camp - Gorakshep]. Once that part of the trek zone was crossed, I was extremely elated and very, very happy and grateful. The day came around pretty fast, but overall it was a mixed feeling of relief, emotion and the fact that it has all come to an end. Huge thanks to "We Ramblers". Their flawless coordination across border made it look simple, but their Team at backend would have done a good amount of homework. Kudos to Subid, Nitesh Singh, our guide Dipendra, Devika and the unsung heroes - The Porters. "Adventure with safe hands! Say We Ramblers" Soumendra Mohanty2024-05-27Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was our first trek of EBC kind. We had lots of apprehensions. We Ramblers took care of everything, often going out of the way to advise, guide and handhold. Especially Subid, Nitesh and the guides Deepen and Devika. Wonderful experience and hospitality. Will strongly recommend We Ramblers for such treks. Agarwal ,Naveen2024-05-26Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thank you Team WeRamblers ! Thank You Subid Sir from Weramblers for introducing me to the world of multi-day trekking at high altitude. This was my first trek and hence I would call him quite frequently to ask silly questions . He prepared me for it very well. It was an amazingly smooth 14 day long Everest Base Camp Trek and its all because of the efficient services they have provided in terms of food, stay, guide and last but not the least knowledge sharing about the terrain. The trek leader Nitesh Sir, Rohit Sir and Shrering Sir were simply awesome. The sense of responsibility they showed during a sudden illness of some of our trekkers in our group clearly depicts the professionalism and efficiency of your service. I will surely love to trek again with weramblers in future. The best thing about memories is making them and you have just made this memory so special to me. Thanks a lot.
